About the event
This 3-Session EAL program promotes mindfulness, resilience, insight, and personal growth by fostering meaningful connections between horses and humans. Through our hands-on activities, participants can improve or develop essential life skills such as communication, trust, emotional regulation, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive and safe environment.
Session 1 | April 24, 2025, 2-4 pm
Horse Communication vs. Human: Participants will get a tour of the farm, discuss safety around horses, and discover a little history of our farm and the horses.
Next, we will get right into our session and spend time observing our horses and meeting them individually. Our topic today will focus on how horses communicate with each other. We will compare how humans communicate vs. how horses communicate. Individuals can explore their own style of communication. This session will be hands-on and will include some horsemanship skills such as grooming, leading and walking.
